Proofreading is an integral part of the translation process. However, depending of the nature, format and intended end use of the document or file, sometimes a further proofreading stage is recommended.

A proofreader will check the translation against the original for completeness, sentence flow, syntax, grammar, spelling etc.

If the content is for a website or publication then a final further proofread may be necessary.
